1. Introduction

EarningEdge ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

EarningEdge collects and stores the following data locally on your device:

Sector preferences — the sectors you select during onboarding to personalize your earnings feed.
Portfolio positions — stocks you add to your portfolio, including ticker, quantity, buy price, sell price, and dates.
AI analysis cache — cached results of AI-generated analyses to reduce API calls and improve performance.
Subscription status — whether you have an active Pro subscription.

This data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have access to it and it is not transmitted to our servers.

3. Third-Party Services

The app communicates with the following third-party services to provide its features:

Finnhub (finnhub.io) — provides financial data including earnings calendars, company profiles, stock quotes, and earnings history. Finnhub may log API requests including IP addresses. See Finnhub's privacy policy.
Anthropic (anthropic.com) — provides the AI analysis engine. When you view an earnings analysis, the app sends the company's financial data (ticker, EPS estimate, revenue estimate, earnings history) to Anthropic's API. No personal user data is sent. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
Apple (StoreKit) — processes subscription payments. Apple handles all payment data. We never see your payment information.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identification information.
We do not track your location.
We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Notifications

If you grant permission, the app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you about upcoming earnings calls and post-earnings price movements. These notifications are generated and stored entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers for this feature.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. To delete your data, simply delete the app. All stored data (preferences, portfolio, cached analyses) will be permanently removed.

7. Children's Privacy

EarningEdge is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
